Cat Bed with a Built in Scale

This is my first idea for a ‘smart’ cat bed. I took apart an old bathroom scale, reassembled the Wheatstone bridge, and attached it to the underside of a simple wood box I made. I used an Arduino Nano to capture the output and display it on screen. The LEDs on the bottom turn on whenever it detects the cat’s weight.
